Dunefall Residence
Dune Horizon
Dunefall unfolds as an L-shaped retreat, quietly attuned to its surroundings. From its vantage point, it reaches outward in two directions – one arm extending toward the tranquil channel and the protected dune preserve beyond, the other turning to acknowledge the vast, ever-changing shoreline of Lake Michigan. Inside, the home gently guides you toward its most meaningful views. The primary living spaces are oriented toward the preserve, where carefully composed panes of glass frame a living landscape – grasses bending with the wind, light shifting across the dunes, and glimpses of distant water shimmering on the horizon.

Hear from the Architect.
“Dunefall is designed as a place of refuge. It balances openness with seclusion, revealing the landscape in measured ways while preserving a sense of privacy. Through this interplay of exposure and shelter, the house creates an experience that is both expansive and intimate – always connected to nature, yet comfortably its own.”
