Design is predicated on the commitment to maximize the stunning views of the Grand River running through downtown Grand Rapids and the West Michigan sunset.
In order to expand upon the view and amplify sunlight reaching in, transparency is inherently present as a design instrument. Boundaries of spaces are on the spectrum of transparent to opaque or somewhere between. Dramatic transparency is curated through the operations of layering, overlapping, and interconnection. Lines are to be blurred. Spaces will feel unmistakably open, clean, fresh, modern, simple, and serene.
