Our team spent the afternoon out on the lake for a little boating and bonding. The weather couldn’t have been better - perfect for cruising by some of our past and current projects, catching up outside the office, and just enjoying the water together. Perched above Lake Michigan, the Rosy Mound Retreat reimagines how a home connects to its site. Designed as a modest, rugged escape to replace a failing mid-century cottage, it adapts to strict dune regulations by shifting inland - elevating living spaces to preserve lake views. A suspended living room opens sightlines and creates a sheltered outdoor space below. Clad in weathering Kebony wood, glass, and metal, the retreat is built to age gracefully with minimal upkeep.
