Here are a few of the photos from the site visits to Allegan Lake over the last couple of months. Luckily, we have had one of the warmest winters on record in Michigan, and while that isn’t good for the snow sport enthusiasts here at Lucid, it is great for construction. Even if it does make the job sites a little muddy. Visiting construction sites is one our favorite things to do at Lucid, as it provides us the time to actually experience our designs (sadly, most clients don’t invite us to live with them after their homes are complete) before the keys get turned over to the clients. We also get to interact with the contractors and help provide any clarification to the drawings, and make sure things are being constructed in accordance with our drawings.

The sleeping porch framing above the garage.
The view from the lake.
Looking out the end of the master bedroom. The lower right opening will be a slider, the rest will be windows.
Master bath. Doesn’t this look like a nice spot for a bathtub? And those windows are over 10′ tall.
All the guest bedroom windows have a view of the water.
